F15 Luxury Palace Hotel, Krakow, Poland

Definitely, the best place to stay in Krakow, Poland, is inside the old town called Stare Miasto. Krakow is known for its beautiful old buildings and many palaces have been converted into hotels. H15 Luxury Palace Hotel is close to the main shopping street called Florianska and the medieval town square, but on a calmer street, so it feels like an oasis after sightseeing in bustling Krakow.

I had originally booked a standard room from Unicus Palace Hotel for my visit with a friend. A few days before my arrival they offered me a free room upgrade to a superior room, but I guess they didn't have one available at Unicus Palace, so they suggested I move to Luxury Palace Hotel next door.

F15 Luxury Palace Hotel

This hotel is a unique combination of preserved historical features from Lubomirski Palace, dating back to the XVI century, and modern materials and art. The hotel was opened in 2020 after the restoration of the original palace and the addition of a new part into the complex, including the Artesse restaurant. At first, I was not sure if I could love the combination of early baroque and modern. I was not sure if the opulent design would put me off, but I could not resist accepting their kind offer.

But all that concern went out the door when I stepped into the hotel. The design of the foyer was absolutely breathtaking – there was a huge violet velvet sofa in the middle, a lot of golden details, and fresh flowers. For some, it might be over the top, but for me, it was very suitable for a five-star luxury hotel. Every single detail is carefully thought of by the architect Mariola Tomczak. There are many original features, for example, the ceiling and the flooring in the entrance. The newer materials are high-end and match well with the old ones. Together they make an intriguing design.

They had the most wonderful receptionist, who explained carefully all their services and gave some sightseeing advice. One of the other employees assisted us by parking our car and the other with the luggage. They also organize guided tours inside the hotel. They are all clearly very proud of the hotel and how it presents Polish history and design. The service staff was exceptionally kind and polite throughout our visit.

My Luxury Room

The best part was that they upgraded us to their Luxury Room. We both fell in love with the room immediately! The room had beautiful materials with accent colors of dark red and blue. The bathroom was huge and covered with marble and mirrors. The bathroom had both a shower and bath as well as a double vanity. I don't know if it is the sheer beauty of the space or the calmness, but somehow, one starts to feel rejuvenated and fresher in this room. The memory of everyday life starts to disappear and you can imagine living in a place like this for a moment. That is luxury. The room also had a balcony with a view of the inner courtyard. I am sure the view can be better from other parts of the hotel, but this didn't bother us. The room had everything that two ladies could need – a massive bathroom, a coffee maker, easily adjustable air-conditioning, a big cupboard for storage, and two very comfy beds.

Restaurants of F15 Luxury Palace Hotel

The hotel has two restaurants. The Artesse was serving the breakfast and doing it excellently. Nothing was missing from it. Instead, they had a bigger selection of different and interesting bites than one could eat. Every single bite was a joy. If you were not satisfied with the selection of the buffet you could order from the menu as well. And again the design (that here resembles a Wintergarden or conservatory with palm trees and a glass ceiling) is making the whole experience just a little bit more enjoyable. Also, the prosecco wine that was served at breakfast was delicious.

The other restaurant is called Bistro The Hours. There was a very fancy bar and stylish sofas under an amazing vaulted ceiling. They serve dishes that are inspired by the history of the region. I had a fish file with potatoes and fruity sauce. The best of Polish cuisine, in my opinion!

Elegant Amenities

The hotel has a small gym and a very relaxing pool area with saunas, one bigger pool, and a jacuzzi. There is also a chance to order beauty treatments and massages at the spa. All these places look stunning and make you feel brand new. It is a complete wellness experience.

In Conclusion

To sum it up, I could not recommend this hotel more. I never have had an equally wonderful experience in a hotel before in my life. It was perfect from start to finish. Just before our departure we took a guided tour of the hotel and got to see more of the historical features of the original palace. What an interesting thing to add to the customer experience! This palace with its excellent service really made us feel like princesses.
